David A Horwitz, MD

Dr. Horwitz is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at NYU School of Medicine and The Director of Information Technology at Pediatric Associates. He is a graduate of The University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, where he received his undergraduate and medical degrees. Dr. Horwitz completed his pediatric residency and chief residency at NYU Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. Dr. Horwitz has been with Pediatric Associates since 1988. Dr Horwitz sees patients in both the Manhattan, Brooklyn and LIC offices.

Paula J Prezioso, MD

Dr. Prezioso is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at NYU School of Medicine and is an Outpatient Site Director for the Pediatric Clerkship. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. Dr. Prezioso completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at NYU Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital and has been with Pediatric Associates since 1991.  Dr Prezioso sees patients in the Manhattan and LIC offices.

J. Aviva Oppenheim, MD

Dr. Oppenheim is a graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University and Cornell University Medical College. She completed her pediatric residency at NYU Medical Center/Bellevue hospital. Liza Natale, MD

Dr. Natale is a graduate of Kenyon College and SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. She completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at NYU Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. Dr Natale regularly teaches classes at the 92nd Street Y; Caring For Your Newborn, A Class For Expectant Parents,Caring For Your Newborn Grandchild,a class for expectant grandparents, as well as leading New Parent Get Togethers on Starting Solids and Sleep.  Dr. Natale has been with Pediatric Associates since 2004.  Dr Natale sees patients in the Manhattan and LIC offices.

Dina DiMaggio, MD

Dr. DiMaggio is a graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After finishing her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, she completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  Dr Dimaggio is the co-author of The Pediatrician's Guide to Feeding Babies and Toddlers: Practical Answers To Your Questions on Nutrition, Starting Solids, Allergies, Picky Eating, and More (For Parents, By Parents).  Dr. DiMaggio has been with Pediatric Associates since 2008 and sees patients in the Manhattan office.

Ferrell Motlow, MD

Dr. Motlow graduated from Bryn Mawr College and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric training at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She has experience in pediatric emergency medicine and was previously the pediatrician at the U.S Embassy, Bucharest, Romania. Dr. Motlow has been with Pediatric Associate since 2011.  Dr Motlow sees patients in the Brooklyn office.

Christine Stern, MD

Dr. Stern graduated from John Hopkins University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Jacobi Medical Center. Dr. Stern speaks conversational  Vietnamese and French. Dr. Stern has been with Pediatric Associates since 2013.  Dr Stern sees patients in the Manhattan office.

Ine M. Leus, MD, MPH

Dr Leus is a graduate of Georgetown University and Tulane School of Medicine.  She completed her residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.  She also has a Masters in Public Health of Tropical Medicine, and has a Certificate of Knowledge in Clinical Tropical Medicine and Travelers' Health from The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.  She was previously a staff physician at the US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia.  Dr Leus is fluent in Spanish and Dutch.  She has been with Pediatric Associates since 2016.  Dr Leus sees patients in the Brooklyn and LIC offices.

Melissa Varma,  MD

Dr Varma is a graduate of Duke University and the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.  She completed her residency training at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She has worked throughout the United States and abroad, in countries including Thailand, Vietnam, China and Ethiopia.  Dr Varma has dedicated her career to the care of children from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds and has a broad understanding of health issues from around the world.  Dr Varma is fluent in Spanish.  She has been with Pediatric Associates since 2020.  Dr Varma sees patients predominantly in the Manhattan office.


Lauren Boehm, MD

Dr Boehm (pronounced 'Bame') graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed her residency training at NYU Langone Health/Bellevue Hospital.  Prior to pursuing medicine, she studied literature at Cornell University and Stanford University.  She has published articles in literature and cultural studies, medical humanities, bioethics and narrative medicine.   She is interested in the way culture can influence children's health and how language can be a window into their experience.  Dr Boehm has been with Pediatric Associates since 2020 and sees patients in the Brooklyn and LIC offices.
